Green with Pin-vy

Oh, Pinterest. I tried to stay away from your evil seduction and ability to fool me into thinking I have more disposable income than I actually do. But in the end, you win.
Today, I am tempted to throw out some old clothes to make room for an entire wardrobe of green and white.
When I was a young and modest toddler, I decided that my favorite color would be green. Mainly because my eyes are green. Not self-centered at all.
I now just like the color because it is beautiful. Okay, fine, and maybe a little bit because it brings out my eyes.
After creating this polyvore set and seeing just how much a beautiful new green outfit would cost me, I have come to conclusion.
Either I need to block Pinterest on my computer, or I need a raise.

This is where I love being a dude. I can snag a George shirt for $8 at Wal-mart and pair it with some slacks from Kohl’s, on the clearance rack, and, voila. No concerns about what colors are hot this season. Or how to accessorize. My watch and Livestrong bracelet will suffice, thank you.
Is there any solace in putting together this fine ensemble but not buying it?
Oh don’t worry. I bought myself plenty of green and white things after this post, and there was plenty of satisfaction gained. I actually love putting outfits together. It’s like a challenge of how to make myself look better than yesterday. You boys just don’t have the shopping gene.
Oh, I have it. It just manifests itself on the Wal-mart clearance rack and TJ Maxx, not Pineterest and the mall. I do like a good shop. Admittedly, though, I could probably use a makeover. My suaveness is probably poorly broadcast by means of the things no one else would buy at full price.

the tank on picture three is from American Eagle. It was from 2 or 3 years ago and so far I have not seen it available now. Im truly bummed cause I would like to purchase it also. Keep hoping they will bring it back. There would be a lot of happy girls, myself one of them. Keeping my fingers crossed! ! ! !
